That's what it's been.

Me vs. my head.

I've been terribly headache struck this morning. And had to stay in bed. Oh boy, sometimes I wish I'd be a boy, really. Do they ever have headaches?
As I didn't feel like dressing up just for myself, here's what I wore and ate yesterday. Quite boyish actually, isn't it?

Looking down myself.
High-waisted shorts, AA body, leather oxfords and a boy's bow-tie.
Bread with tomatoes, mozzarella and quite an amount of basil.

Body: American Apparel.

Office girl. With a very bad conscience.

I hardly manage to catch up with my outfit posts neither with commenting or replying to your sweet words. Bad, bad me. I beg you: please bear with me.
By the way, that's me and my muesli in the office. Sorry for chewing while taking those pictures. But efficiency is what it's all about.

Walking the dog.

I'm really craving for a little doggy ever since. But as I wouldn't have enough time for such a responsible job I went for a little dog made out of porcellaine.

Sometimes life demands for compromises.

He's going to get a cosy place with nice a view – on my windowsill.

Shirt: H&M.
Dog: flea market.

Cherries for Ulrika and strawberries for Ulrike.

My dear namesake Ulrika recently handed me over a little diamond which made me blush. And today's the day to say thanks, dear. As she is in love with cherry details as much as I am I want to dedicate my cherry scarf to her, one of the bestbestbest blogging and inspiring girls out there. Those strawberries I keep myself though.

These 7 girls are my personal heroines: Miss Woo, Times of Glory, Vintage Darling, Lady Melbourne, Rougemarie, Lälah, Mocca.

Cherries for Ulrika.

(Hidden) strawberries for Ulrike.

1. When received, you may post the premio to your blog.
2. Link to the blogger you received it from.

3. Give the it to 7 blogs.

4. Link to those 7 blogs.
5. And leave those seven bloggers a comment about receiving the brilliant premio.

Hello, world.

Yipeeh yeah. I finally got my new MacBook yesterday. My old one‘s battery was a mess. 5 minutes of performance in the end – that's even shorter than sex. The sad consequence of my little baby's short-windedness: I had to stay home all the time.
But now, with my regained liberty of up to many many hours of a full battery I will travel the world. That‘s why I bought this handy suitcase today.
With a lot of space for souvenir stickers on it.

The only problem left: Where shall I go first?

That's what I'm wearing today. A sailor girl dress. White tights and a red and white polka dot scarf.Infected by travel bug.

Dress: Vintage, eBay.
Tights: H&M.
Scarf: Vintage, eBay.
Suitcase: Manufactum.

I heart you.

Is it still love?

I do own this huntersman cape for ages already and always thought I'd be in love with it. Whenever I open my closet it i just there. So relieable. But I never go out wearing it, showing it around. And today I suddenly came up with one thought: As it's so familiar to me – is it possible that I love it by routine, but without any passion? Like it is with real love affairs? In real life? Sometimes?

Please tell me: are we supposed to part?

The best tag for being sick: books.

I'm in bed. Not alone. I have enjoyable company by Mr. Flu. What a nice coincidence that dear Sarah tagged me – and it's not a tag on fashion, but a book tag: I have to grap the book that's next to me, open it on page 123 and quote the fith sentence plus the following three. Let's go.

I have no real books in reach, just a copy of business magazine 'brand eins' and a cook book. The 'River Cafe Cook Book'. That's why I supply you with both of them.
1. 'River Cafe Cook Book' – page 123 (frittata with wild leaves):
"Bring a large saucepan of water to boiling point, add some salt, the garlic and then the leaves. Cook for 5 minutes, then drain well and squeeze out all the water. Chop finely, using a mezzaluna. Mix well with the chopped bread, and season with salt, pepper and half the Parmesan."
2. 'brand eins' (Juli 2008) – page 123 (article on people parting with material ballast):
"Kein Wunder, dass die Stadt Hamburg ihn bat, seinen Vertrag zu verlängern. Baumbauer aber wollte nicht, auch wenn er zum Zeitpunkt seiner Kündigung noch nicht wusste, was danach kommen würde. Klar war nur: Die sieben fetten Jahre in Hamburg würden sich schwerlich woanders wiederholen lassen. Baumbauer tauschte Sicherheit und Erfolg gegen neues Risiko."

Well, I would like to tag those lovelies: Cammila, Jessica, Ulrika, Ida and Lady Melbourne.
Equiped for the day.

Lazy Sunday.

I dressed the most comfortable way. I ate the most practical way. And I read the book I was able to grap by outstretching my arm. For my self-defense: All this happened after a big pile of work was already handled in the morning.

Those flowers I found in front of my door this morning.
Even if it looks different: this old school telephone doesn't do what I want it to. Damn!
Just a cozy wool dress. And a Russian scarf. And a pair of leggings.
I was given this book for my birthday.
Come on little deer, tickle my foot.
Dress and leggings: old H&M.

Sad clown.

Yesterday was my birthday: it's been unbelieveably awful. Not only because of the rain which came down all day long...
Anyway, today is a new day and I try to be confident and therefore put on my most optimistic jumpsuit. But I rather feel like a sad clown...

My lunch: watermelon feta mint salad. A poor approach to the original since I used a yellow watermelon – all the red already assembled in the outfit I'm wearing.

Tagged tangerine.

Today was lovely. Summer again. A good impulse to finally think about some of my recent favourite summer songs as I've been tagged lately by sweet Anne and Ida. Well, actually I did not only think about, but danced to them in the evening sun on my little green balcony. Doesn't all the green just make a brilliant contrast to the tangerine and white tones of the gingham dress?

No. 1: Coldplay – Lost!
No. 2: Annie – I know your girlfriend hates me

No. 3: Sébastien Tellier – Divine
No. 4: Lindstrom + Prins Thomas – Boney M down

No. 5: Phoenix – Long distance call
No. 6: Zoot Woman – Information first
No. 7: Jens Lekman – Sipping on the sweet water

I hope those tunes make you swing aswell. By the way. I will not tagg someone specific as most of you already did this little job. Please consider yourself tagged if you want to make us find out on some nice summery music.
