Schatzalp.

This might be the most beautiful place in the world: Hotel Schatzalp in Davos/Switzerland. It used to be a sanatorium at the beginning of the last century and inspired Thomas Mann to write "Der Zauberberg". We had a huge and fabulous 20's party at this great place with all its art nouveau details.
For me there's only one thing left to say: I need to go back there.

Milkshake.

That's wednesday's outfit. I didn't post it earlier for two reasons: I had a terrible hangover the other day.
And we went to Davos in Switzerland on Friday. Since I packed in a hurry which actually wasn't once since I was creeping over the floor with an incomparable headache – I forgot to charge the camera. The result: no pictures. And another lesson teaching me: milkshakes are better than beer.

In case I have to sneeze there's always a handkerchief with me. Only problem: it's sewn to the shirt.

Prima Ballerina.

Yes, I was one of these girls. Not exactly a Prima Ballerina. Of course not. But I regularily went to ballet classes for two or three times a week as a girl. Until it happened. It? Yes: it. Puberty. When everything changes. Even the dream of becoming a Prima Ballerina. For already some years I'm planning to start a second career. But until today the plan amounted to nothing more than buying a lot of dresses and ballet shoes. That's my idea of an everyday ballet girl.

Ajour. Cut-out. Crème. Voilà.

My exercising looks a bit poor these days.

Cherry earrings.

I celebrated my this year's cherry premiere yesterday. And enjoyed a handful of delicious juicy and sweet cherries. The strawberries I bought along became quite jealous when I dared to pick the cherries for decoration purposes – and not them. So I ate them all at once as I couldn't stand my guilty conscience.

Cherry earrings!

A dark blue Dirndl with white stripes.

My beloved sailor rain coat. I really love it. My boyfriend hates the eightyness about it though...

It's so full of darling details. It's lining is dark blue with golden stars.

Red.

From head to toe (you don't see that it's a red dress and that I'm pairing it with red shoes, a red jacket and a red scarf). Only a juicy juicy juicy peach stepped out of line.

My hair has grown like crazy. I got to get it fixed soonsoonsoon.

Can you tell by the picture how f***ing juicy it's been?

Meet the back.

... of my dress. Since there you'll find all it's sweetness. Tone-in-tone, no, pardon me, stripes-in-stripes sweetness to be precise. A handfull of tiny bows trying to retouch the zipper. And kindly restracting from me not knowing what to cook tonight.

Oh, it's one, two, three, four, five... six little bows.

And come on, let's count again (I feel like the Count of Count encouraging you to count...).

Shame on G.

What a poor football game it's been tonight. Due to their role as hosts I'd really have granted the Austrian team to win considering the bad German performance. At least I gave my best tonight: 4 beers. And now it's time for some headline writing.

Without intending: I supported the Austrians in some way.

Yes. Cold again.

Cherry Red, Snow White and the Snake.

What sounds a little like a fairy tale title is my yesterday's outfit composition. A white frilly blouse paired with cherry red high waisted shorts – both 50's dead stock pieces. They fit like a second skin. What, when it comes to my pumps, is even true: I'm wearing shoes from snake skin. But of course they are vintage pieces... I don't want to be a bad girl.

Rain.

Yesterday's Dirndl outfit was subcounciously dedicated to our football team's evening play against Croatia. Unfortunately the boys lost. So: did it rain accidentally?

Some details.

Innocent? No, stupid!

Stupid me. Ignoring the wheather forecast (rain, rain, rain) I chose purest white in combination with an over floor length to be my friend today. Consequence: I had to promenade through the office like a princess, pulling the dress up all the time. Sorry guys!

Rot, rot, rot sind alle meine Kleider.

Red always used to and always will be my favourite colour. So better get used to it, my dear girls. Since there will be a lot more red dresses and combinations to come. That's what I dressed like today: like a Bavarian. As I do not only adore red, but also traditional Bavarian and Tyrolean clothing. Eventhough I am a Berlin girl.

The pattern is sooooooooooooooooooooo cute.

My vintage slip dress. It's oh so lovely.

Some of the content of my weekly "Grüne Kiste". Already missing: strawberries.

Yesterday.

Has been a beautiful day. I spent the first half of it in Blankenese, a part of Hamburg which really reminds of a place far far away. Already a few minutes down there give a holiday feeling. A container ship as huge as a tower building passed by and we had a picnic on the beach of the Elbe.
The evening was completely dedicated to football, I was really excited and chewed my nails down while watching. In the end the German team won luckily – and I manicured my fingernails late that nigth.

I wore a hippie dress which has quite a patchwork look.

Apple cake.

Hello, hello, darlings. Weeeeeeeekend! How I need it. I will try not to work at all which might be a possible thing this time. The wheather forecast is brilliant, I baked an apple cake and I am going to have a visitor over the weekend. Plus last but not least: EM 2008 starts tomorrow! Wahey. – What are you about to do?

Before I am going to dress all boyish for EM purpose (of course only kidding), here's another of my ruffly polka dot dresses.

Bright blue with even brighter white dots.

The first roses start blooming in the bush next to my balcony.

It's actually not only an apple cake, but a cake with apples, almonds and lemon. Yummie.

Strawberry fields forever.

After having worn far too many dresses and other things with a gingham pattern within the last days I put on an ensemble featuring polka dots today. Quite a few of them actually since this is not only a dress, but also a little ruffly bolero jacket. My strawberry cardigan kept me warm in the colder morning hours and was tributed later on by one kilo of strawberries which I bought on the farmer's market and had for lunch afterwards.

Polka dots, proudly presented by the ladies' bathroom.

With and without. The dress and the bolero jacket.

It's a nice match as the little strawberries on the cardi are dotted aswell...

Blau, blau, blau blüht der Enzian.

Girls, today I added some Bavarian flavor to a quite simple outfit: one of my Dirndl camisoles. I adore this one with it's pretty little white flowers on the navy fond. By the way, the blue wall is inside the men's bathroom at the agency. And now guess where I took yesterday's shots.

Aahhh, gosh, those little blossoms are just too sweet.

I'm a backstabber. Tse tse tse.

Again gingham. But it had to be. And guess how everything developed this morning. I ate blueberry muesli with strawberries and when I noticed the nice colour combination – bright red, pale purple and white – I just made a quick jump towards my closet and pulled out this cutee. Is it my fault that it's made of a gingham cloth? I'm so sorry, my dear polka dots.

The guilty breakfast.

I spent my lunch break on my favourite farmer's market – Isemarkt. With some of my nice girl colleagues. We bought flowers.

Did you notice the matching ear clips already? Purple.

Gingham, oh gingham.

Seriously, I should consider re-naming this blog. I used to be called Dotti for years just because of my spleen on polka dots. Meanwhile I have the slight impression things might have changed a little – or what do you see in those pictures underneath?

The sun gets nasty from time to time.

My lovely Monday morning: sun, coffee, a lace babydoll and later on the little gingham beauty.

A Sunday every Sunday should be like.

Since it's been unbelieveable hot again I put on a little light and flowery dress and hit the S-Bahn. With my boyfriend, a picnic and sunscreen. Oh girls, and I can tell you: It was a perfect day. We sat in the green with a lot of delicious things, watched sailplanes and the sun shone throughout the day. The best: There was nobody, just us. Now I'm back, with all dirty feet, claiming: Every girl deserves a Sunday as nice as this one.

Picnic. The best thing to do. Ever.

There was a small sailplane aerodrome. I wish I could fly...

Oh, look my ugly feet. Less girly than ever before...

Beautiful foxglove.

Me in that floral dress.

My beloved leather shoes fall apart... So sad.
