Here's our second Swiss shelter. An old palazzo from the 17th century with giant redwoods in a drop-dead gorgeous garden and the most beautiful mountain view. By the way: the room we stayed at was home to writer Rainer Maria Rilke for several weeks a long, long time ago...

Swiss hotels. Part one. Davos "Schatzalp".

I've been on a little trip to Switzerland in September. The mission was: three hotels in six days. And guess what. The first place we stayed at happened to be "Schatzalp" in Davos – the place I've been to in June and promised that I'd come back one day. Here are a few impressions. Enjoy. Or even better: go there.

Denim.

That navy blue with white accents outfit was kind enough to cooperate and join me through the day.

Decent again.

During lunch break I went to the hairdresser just to to put my hair in order. At least for the moment.

Super supper.

An extremely quick one. Because I could eat a horse. Question: what can be found in the fridge of a hard working girl?

There was: green salad, eggs, leek, tomatoes and a mango.

The mango plus yoghurt turned into a lassee.
Those will end up as scrumbled eggs.
Oh, by the way: that's what I wore today.
And, tataaaaa, here's the result. My quick and dirty meal was accompanied by some lecture: the latest issue of Manufactum catalogue.

That was my weekend at the sea. I had fun confusing little children... you might guess why.

A September walk.

Autumn in Hamburg is rainy. Dark. And cold. So I'm going to cheer myself up with some nice memories. Of autumn in Switzerland.

After a long, stressful and overall nerve racking day in the office I just made my way home (through the pouring rain by the way). To find a nice little letter in my letterbox. From Berlin tax office. So, here's what I think of you, dear taxman.

I disregarded my outfit posts lately and promise faithfully to strain myself. In order to warm up slowly this won't be a proper one though – let me give those lovely little cyclamen the advantage instead. That's not good manners, but me being afraid you already might recognise this sailor girl dress. In case you're sneaking around here a little.

A little Swiss kitty cat named Berry played with me in the sunshine. It's been that cute I don't even mind the flaws the little rascal left in my cardi and the scars I still have on my legs – three weeks later.

Back. Or: Post-Oktoberfest-time.

Oh dear, dear readers. Due to an eagerly needed break I had to disappear. Instantly. Didn't even have time nor nerves left for my good manners. No good bye, no getting back to you! Shame on me. And a thousand sorries on top. But be sure: I'm back. Fully re-filled with energy and beer. And so excited to catch up with all the things that you've written, worn and experienced within the last three or even four weeks.

I guess I'll be quite busy to make up on my time off. So let's start slowly. And with a little bit of booze. Just to celebrate my return. Tatarataaa: That was my Wiesn aka Oktoberfest 2008.
